Evangelist Marcia Stokes is a saved, sanctified, satisfied, Holy Ghost filled child of God. She is the daughter of Deacon James Stokes and Dr. Almeta Sturdivant Stokes. She was taught the Word of God at an early age while growing up in the Gospel Spreading Church in Washington, DC.
Evangelist Stokes made the decision to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior while attending Faith United Missionary Baptist Church, New Carrollton, MD. Having accepted her call into the ministry in 1996, she is now a licensed minister and an ordained evangelist.
At the prompting of the Holy Spirit, Evangelist Stokes launched out into the deep in 2001 and established Marcia Stokes Ministries, Inc. The ministry’s primary purpose is to promote, empower and encourage PRAYER within the Body of Christ. To this end, the ministry hosts prayer breakfasts, prayer summits and prayer workshop all over the world. Her spiritual cover, Pastor Keith D. Brooks (All Nations Life & Praise Cathedral) supports, promotes and prays for her ministry.
As a traveling evangelist, Evangelist Stokes has been blessed of God to minister to a vast number of people in the USA, Germany, England, Japan and in Kenya, Africa. She is a much sought after minister, teacher, conference/retreat speaker and workshop leader.
